National Dysphagia Awareness Month 2016 Contest

June is “National Dysphagia Awareness Month” & the NFOSD would like your input!

We want the world to understand the challenges you face, the work you do and what it takes to live with this often under-recognized, poorly diagnosed and often times mistreated disorder.

In 2015, the NFOSD raised dysphagia awareness by promoting the #ThickenedLiquidChallenge. During the challenge, participants were videotaped drinking a thickened liquid and then posted it on Facebook and Twitter. We shared almost 100 of their videos on the NFOSD website or our Facebook page. The challenge was picked up by a few news outlets which further raised awareness.

This year, we want the world to know!

How best can we honor National Dysphagia Awareness Month for 2016? We’d love to hear your ideas.

Please click here to fill-out this brief one page survey and share with us your most creative and engaging ideas. If we use your idea (and you were the first to submit it), we will send you a NFOSD golf cap (pink, white, or khaki).
