Presentation Description: Ampcare develops therapeutic neuromuscular electrical stimulation technologies and is proud to offer the FDA-cleared Ampcare Effective Swallowing Protocol (ESP™). Ampcare’s ESP provides clinicians a new option for the treatment of dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). ESP is a non-invasive treatment for dysphagia that combines the most effective electrical stimulation parameters with resistive exercises. The result is improved quality of muscle and swallowing function.

Rick McAdoo, M.S., CCC-SLP, Vice President – Ampcare, LLC

I received my Bachelor of Science in 1989 and Master of Science in 1990, both in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University. I have worked primarily with the adult neurogenic population with a passion for dysphagia. My initial research projects started in 1994 and focused on advancing methods for dysphagia treatment, specifically using transcutaneous neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). I am the Vice-President & Co-Founder of Ampcare, LLC, a company founded in 2007 along with Russ Campbell, PT and Ronda Polansky, M.S., CCC-SLP, providing innovative technology and methods for treating swallowing disorders. After receiving FDA clearance for Ampcare’s “Effective Swallowing Protocol ” in 2013, Ampcare provides certification training for speech-language pathologists to use this modality.
