Making the Most of Your Dysphagia Team

Presented by Nancy Swigert, M.A., CCC-SLP, BCS-S (Life Member)

Originally Broadcast January 18, 2023

TAD Talk Description: Building a knowledge base and developing advocacy skills can help you get the most benefit from your Dysphagia Team.  Understanding the basics of the anatomy and physiology of all phases of pediatric and adult swallowing is necessary in order to identify which professionals are needed on your team.  Working knowledge of tests and procedures helps plan a course of treatment. Once your team is in place, specific techniques will help you to be a more effective advocate for you or your loved one.
