Some things are hard to swallow!
The next Houston Chapter of the National Foundation Of Swallowing Disorders (NFOSD) Support Group is planned for Saturday April 20th from 10-12, in the same location as last time (we won’t know which room until that morning), so please follow the signs. You will certainly want to come to this month’s meeting and hear our two very special guest speakers.
Denise Barringer is a speech pathologist who specializes in the management of swallowing disorders and serves as the manager for the speech pathology department at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also the past president of the Texas Speech, Language and Hearing Association and has a wealth of experience working with the swallowing problems shared in this group.
We will also be joined in person by Ed Steger, president of the NFOSD, our sponsoring organization. Ed joined our inaugural meeting via the internet but now will be present in person to share some of the various activities the foundation is engaged in.
